Individual Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae Cups

When I was a little girl, I was always in appointments for various medical problems. Some teeth to be removed there. Some bones to be straightened here. And some bladder issues to be worked out over there.

It sucked.

After appointments, my mom and I would stop by White Spot where I'd poke away at my food until I could order dessert. And I'd always choose the same one: the glorious hot fudge brownie sundae.

I loved the way the warm brownie melted the ice cream around the edges. I loved the way the fudge cascaded its way across all dessert borders.

But most of all, I loved how this big plate of chocolate and ice cream could somehow make everything melt away, and for a few minutes I could just enjoy being a kid in the way that only a giant, toppling dessert can bring.

I don't know when I stopped ordering it, but lately I've been craving that comfort.

This at-home version has everything I remember, but all in a single serve package. The brownies are cooked individually (like those horribly addictive two-bite brownies), and topped with a big scoop of ice cream, some thick fudge, and a dash of sprinkles.

Oh, and a cherry on top.

Bunny Bum Baked Carrot Cake Doughnuts

Little Bunny Foo Foo hopped into my kitchen today and landed in some carrot cake doughnuts while looking for something to eat.

Thankfully, they were baked doughnuts so there was no hot oil involved!

Want to make your own bunny in a garden doughnuts? The instructions are below, and it's actually pretty easy. Just make the doughnuts, the icing, the bunny bums, and then plop it all together. They're the perfect treat for little (and big) kids for the long, holiday weekend.

Happy Easter!

Chocolate Dipped Cookie Pops... with sprinkles!

Know what I love about these cookies?

I love how they eliminate the problem of not being able to cram enough chocolate into the cookies. I love how easy they are to dip into milk. And I love how they leave little rainbow milk trails in your glass.

I love how they're equally fun for the adults in our house as they are for the kids. I love how cheerful they are, and how they remind me of a circus, or the crazy fun birthday parties you had as kids where your hands were always sticky from icing and cake.

And I love, maybe most of all, how they're the perfect snack to cuddle up with, as a family, as we wind down from the day before heading to bed.
