Whole Wheat Banana Bread

I love having pre-made muffins or loaves on hand for lazy morning breakfasts or snacks.

I've developed this recipe based off of a couple I've found, and I think I've finally hit the jackpot. It's moist and has the perfect banana taste, and the chocolate chips lend a great sweetness. If I don't add the chocolate chips, then I mix in about 1/4 tsp of cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg instead.

Whole Wheat Banana Bread Recipe

2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
3-4 ripe bananas, mashed (I used 4)
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 or so cups chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375F.

In a large bowl, combine the oil, milk, brown sugar, egg, and banana. Mix until well combined.

Stir in the whole wheat flour and baking powder until just combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.

Pour mixture into a greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pan, and bake for 40-45mins, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
