This easy chocolate peanut butter spread goes on pretty much everything breakfast, from toast to croissants to pancakes. And without the hydrogenated oils and excess sugar found in processed versions, it's almostmaybesorta healthy. Well, healthier at least.
Plus how long have those of us with tree nut allergies been waiting for an alternative to Nutella? Too damn long. Let the breakfast revolution begin!
Easy Chocolate Peanut Butter Spread Recipe
Yields 1 cup
Ingredients:
2/3 cup peanut butter (I used all natural)
1/3 cup high quality semi-sweet chocolate
Directions:
In a microwavable bowl, or in a small saucepan, gently heat the peanut butter and chocolate and mix until smooth. Store in an air-tight container and keep unrefrigerated - unless you want to piss off your boyfriend like I accidentally did by having it harden up.

There's nothing better than chocolate and peanut butter! Love your recipe!
ReplyDeleteWhat a simple, delicious idea! Nutella is very expensive where I live so this recipe is just the thing I've been looking for. Can't wait to sink my teeth into some chocolate peanut butter toast!
